This evening we’ll also celebrate the release of OTION’s single Comfort Zone from the upcoming ep UNBORN produced by dropped.dots, available across all streaming platforms the next morning at 11.00 am on 25-1-25.

In OTION’s performances, soundscapes blend harmonized, loop-based vocals with influences from African American, Afro Surinamese and west African musical traditions. These sonic landscapes are the foundation for his immersive performances, where movement and ritual guide the audience on a journey of self-discovery and healing. His poetic lyricism and songwriting often reflect themes of transformation, spiritual connection, and his queer perspective, offering both emotional resonance and intellectual depth.

The Submarines – band
The Submarines is an eclectic band from Amsterdam, fronted by the dynamic artist OTION. Their music resonates deeply with the spirit of liminality—hovering between genres, moments, and moods—immersing listeners in a soulful, ever-evolving journey that transcends conventional limits.
Alongside OTION’s poetic lyricism and energetic stage presence, the group features Nathan Klumperbeek, a talented instrumentalist whose rhythm and melodies lay a groovy foundation, and Tez Thompson who adds another layer of depth, contributing as a versatile guitarist, keys player, and vocalist, bringing rich harmonies and melodic textures. Together, they create an immersive musical experience that’s fresh, soulful, and innovative, pushing the boundaries of sound and experience, inviting their audience to step into the in-between and explore the potential of what lies beyond.
Desmon – producer & dj
Infectious rhythms that can’t be contained by labeling it house music: Desmon’s productions explore what the genre can be, while firmly rooting his music in the history of those who came before.
In the journey to artistry and music curation, Desmon finds himself exploring different spaces and ages that all inform the way he approaches his productions. Events such as Southport, Dimensions and Suncebeat drew him closer to soulful elements, while flipping through the record crates and collaborations with fellow musicians allow him to explore the edges of electronic music.
