Football In The House

On January 18, we return with the second edition of Football in the House at Felix Meritis, for the Africa Cup of Nations finals. While some of us will be in Morocco to experience the tournament firsthand, others – like us – will be cheering from Amsterdam.

We’re hitting of this special evening with music by STEWWW and a conversation hosted by What’s Culture in partnership with More Than Goals and special guests. You can enjoy East African food by RALLI, literature by The Collective Library and – of course – a broadcast of the match. The event is free and open to everyone – so bring your siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, and anyone who loves football. Expect an evening that celebrates the identity of African football and its global impact.

Football in the House, created by Margot Purgues, is an initiative launched in 2024 to give people in Amsterdam a space to watch the Africa Cup of Nations games, with the aim of celebrating and democratizing African football culture through art, music, and curated programming.

WHAT’S CULTURE

What’s Culture is an independant platform that specializes in curating and narrating pivotal cultural eras and moments. The international platform aims to educate their audience about the historical context, current shifts, and future trends across music, art and popular culture.

STEWWW

STEWWW is a collective and creative movement by a band of friends dedicated to curting and hosting music events and live experiences. Founded in 2019 by Benz & Alain, the platform was born to bring a fresh format and sound to the city’s vibrant scene.

FOOD BY RALLI

RALLI was founded by Hadidja Simbarakiye in 2021 with the idea of curating warm and thoughtful food experiences. East African food will be served on this special evening.
