Ada Lovelace Society: Chris Kubecka
(Nederlands onderaan) After hacking the U.S. Department of Justice at the age of ten, Chris Kubecka was not allowed near any computer or own any electronic devices until the age of eighteen. After that, she quickly became a renowned cyber security expert and one of the most powerful hackers in the world, a power she uses for the good as an ethical hacker.
In this second Ada Lovelace Society episode, we hear her story! How did a ten year old, pigtailed girl manage to hack the U.S. government and what does a day at the office look like when you’re a hacker? What are the vulnerabilities in today’s digital society and what can be done to protect our systems?

Na haar 18e verjaardag werd ze al snel een gerenommeerde cyber security expert en een van de beste hackers ter wereld, een superkracht die ze ten goede gebruikt als ethische hacker.
In deze tweede aflevering van Ada Lovelace Society horen we Kubecka’s persoonlijke verhaal! Hoe slaagde een tienjarig meisje met vlechtjes erin de Amerikaanse regering te hacken en hoe ziet een dag op kantoor eruit als je een ethische hacker bent? Waar liggen de zwaktes van de huidige digitale samenleving en wat kan er worden gedaan om onze systemen te beschermen?
